Single Skin Covers prevent rainwater collecting in the tank increasing capacity by up to 30%. Furthermore slurry and waste water disposal costs are reduced due to reduced volume of liquid. A single skin cover also reduces ammonia and odour emissions saving on fertilizer costs and environmental complaints.
The standrad design includes a centre column to support the cover with tensioned straps ensuring the cover hangs over the tank edge.
It is also possible to supply an air inflated single skin roof for larger sized tanks where the wind loads would otherwise put great strain on the tank.
